Marsa Shagra 
Marsa Shagra is a bustling seaside village and definitely the most well-known of our Marsa Alam destinations. It is our gateway to the south boasting one of the most beautiful house reefs in the Red Sea region. Whether you are a diver or just enjoy snorkeling, our house reef features an abundance of marine life including a variety of coral & fishes, reef sharks, turtles, and sometimes even dolphins!

Prepare to expand your knowledge and awareness of the underwater world, explore ancient ruins of long gone civilizations and learn about the long history of the Red Sea region. Take a trek through the desert to observe amazing wildlife and the Bedouins of the south. Meditate under the mutating colors of the setting sun or stargaze under a moonless night. Reinvigorate your body with a soothing massage and enjoy a therapeutic oxygen session right on the beach. If you've never visited the southern Red Sea, Marsa Shagra is definitely the place to begin.

Diving
The diving program of Red Sea Diving Safari is designed to accommodate any level diver from beginner to advanced and all aspects of the RSDS experience promote maximum diving enjoyment. The three villages were created in consideration of diving enthusiasts and our diving program covers more than 60 shore-based and off-shore dive sites.Our villages feature superb house reefs which are home to hundreds of marine life species and an excellent variety of soft and hard corals.

The diving program gives you the options of unlimited house-reef diving, night diving, boat diving and speedboat diving to offshore reefs. We also have options for free divers and technical divers.
We offer different packages in each village to allow you to make the most of the diving opportunities available in the region, and to give you the ultimate flexibility on your diving holiday. Accommodation

The village is small because of maintaininga minimal-impact policy towards the environment and a advantage of an exclusiveexperience for the visitors. The villages is simple with traditional eastern style domed architecture and every guestroom enjoys an unobstructed sea view.

Tents
tents are one of Marsa shagra village hallmarks and an exciting experience of how our concept all began. The tents are on the beach-front and the interior is 3.5x3.5 meters with hand-made furniture, lighting, electricity outlet and a seating area just a few meters from the shoreline. Tents are available with 2 single beds and share a communal bathroom facility. Shower towels are available if needed from the reception (free of charge) and beach towels can be rented on site for a fee.

Royal Tents 
The Royal Tent are most popular accommodation option and an integral part of our minimal impact concept. The interior is 5x5 meters and well furnished with a minibar, fan, bean bag chairs and table, and a seating area just a few meters from the shoreline. Royal Tents are available with a double bed or two singles and share a communal bathroom facility. Shower towels are available if needed from the reception (free of charge) and beach towels can be rented on site for a fee.

Huts
Huts are simple, dome-roofed rooms, measuring 3.5 x 3.5 meters. They are set on the beach, slightly back from the shoreline but offer uninterrupted sea views. They feature two single beds, bedside table with a lamp, a wardrobe, and a fan. Huts share a communal bathroom facility and shower towels are available if needed from the reception (free of charge). Beach towels can be rented on site for a fee.

Deluxe Chalet-Deluxe
The Deluxe Chalet is the finest room standard overlooking the spectacular mountains on one side and the Red Sea on the other. There are terraces on either side with breathtaking views and every room enjoys an unobstructed sea view. The Deluxe Chalets are 4x6 meters and feature either double bed or singles and feature wardrobe, side & dressing table, AC, digital safe, mini-bar, water kettle with coffee and tea. Deluxe Chalets feature en-suite bathroom and towels are provided for showering. Beach towels are available for a fee.

Food & Drinks

3 full meals a day are included as part ofthe all-inclusive package, as well as soft drinks, water, tea, and coffee. After buffet hours these itemsare available at the gift shop. Please inform us in advance for vegetarian menu or other specialdietary requirements. In addition, we sell beer, ice cream, espresso, (fresh) juices, chocolate bars,crisps and souvenirs at our gift shop.

Diving Program
The diving program is designed in a way that satisfies all divers, from beginners  to advanced.

5 days standard  Diving package offers unlimited diving on the *house reef + 2 guided shore dives
on day one also 2 housereef guided dives during the

*House Reef Diving

The village is situatedin-front of a small bay (Marsa) with a sandy bottom. Our dive
center is situatedin-front of this bay which is the base of our unlimited diving set-up.High-performance
speedboats are onstand-by at guest requests offering the options of up to 6 different divepatterns
within our house reef.These dives are unguided which allows for a real sense of exploration and
adventure.
Tanks are readilyaccessible so that guests simply take a tank, sign out on the whiteboard, andthen
go. When the dive isover fresh water basins are available in the dive shade for rinsing equipment.
Hangers are alsoprovided for wet-suits and BCD’S, which stay securely stored with your other
equipment until you areready for your next dive.

For your first visityou will receive an orientation dive around the bay accompanied by one of the
guides. After thisinitial orientation guests are free to enjoy our unlimited diving set-up. Thisis definitely
one of the most uniqueaspects of Marsa shagra diving village, the freedom to dive in buddy pairs atyour own pace and at
the time of yourchoosing.
The bays where the Eco-divingVillages are situated have superb house reefs which are home to
hundreds of marine lifespecies and an excellent variety of soft and hard corals. These bays are
shallow, starting from1-10 meters in depth and slowly dropping as they reach the outside walls of 40-50m in depth.

Guiding
The diving team of consists of PADI certified instructors and guides. Members of

the diving-team haveextensive language skills including Arabic, English, French, Italian, andGerman.
Two guided on the house reef and two guided shore dives outside the village dives areincluded in the  5 days unlimited diving package. The dive guide will provide a detailed briefing aboutthe dive site and the local conditions of diving including information about

marine life, standarddiving procedures, and safety rules. Supervision of divers is providedaccordingto experience,requests, and particularity of each dive site.

Diving Courses
The dive center is PADI centers and we offer courses beginning from Discover Scuba Diving to AssistantInstructor.

We also offer divingactivities for children including; Bubblemaker (age 8-10), Seal Team (8-10years),Discover Scuba Diving(10 years and older), Junior Open Water Diver (age 10-15) and Junior Advanced open Water Diver (age12-15). For further details about diving courses please see the village fact

Diving Equipment
Full diving equipmentcan be hired on site and is included free of charge for the participants of the
Open Water Course. Weneed to be informed about equipment requests prior to arrival (please
indicate sizes forbooties, wetsuits and BCD). Guests with their own equipment should bring thick
soled booties,essential for shore based diving. Please note that alternate air source (octopus,or air2),
SMB and diving computerare compulsory. 12L aluminum tanks with single valve, DIN or international,
are available andstored in the compressor room. A supply of full tanks is always available inthe diving
shade for diving on thehouse reef. 15L tanks are available on request (additional charges apply).
