About the country
Ecuador is located in western South America and has its name after the equator that cuts through the northern part of the country. The capital is Quito and is located on the mainland. For trips to Galapagos, we recommend 2 nights in Quito to adapt to the time delay and at the same time secure for any delayed luggage.
Visa
EU Citizens who wish to travel to Ecuador as a tourism need not show unless they expect to stay in Ecuador for more than 90 days. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the departure home. You should also be able to present the return ticket as well as the hotel / liveaboards voucher.
