Location
The Orca Village is situated directly adjacent to theOrca Dive Club Safaga. Located around its own private sheltered sandy beachwith all necessary amenities the Village is an ideal choice for divers and diveclubs. Transfer time to Hurghada airport approx. 45 mins and nearby Port Safagais only 10 mins bus drive away.

Description
This small cosy hotel furnished in typical Egyptianstyle has 26 bungalows available situated around the private sandy beach.Reception, guest restaurant and dinning room as well as a charming beach barcomplete the comfortable facility. Valuables can be deposited free of charge inthe safe at the reception.

Accommodation
The 16 spacious Superior Bungalows all have en-suitebathroom, mini-bar, and air conditioning and are located directly on the beach.
The 10 Standard Bungalows, have en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, aresomewhat smaller and integrated into the surrounding gardens.

Board/Meals
Breakfast and dinner are served in the main diningroom in buffet form with a large variety of Egyptian and international dishes.
Lunch can be ordered in the beach bar or at the divers snack bar.

Diving training
All Open Watertraining dives are conducted from one of our comfortable dedicated divinghardboats. All training dives are completed within 2-3 days for basic divercourses. Your experienced and professional instructor will not only be on handto help you complete the required water skills development but also intoduce youto the wonders of the Red Sea's underwater beauty.

Daily dives
You will find a fleet of three dedicated diving hardboats in operation atthe Orca Dive Club Safaga. The highly experienced and friendly crews who havebeen working together with us for years guarantee to take you safely andcomfortably to only the best dive sites. All boats are equipped with theneccessary safety equipment in line with international standards. You will findoxygen, first-aid, VHF marine radios, lifejackets and state of the artcommunication and navigational aids on-board.

Safaga Also called Port Safaga,  is a beautiful typical Egyptian small town 60km south of Hurghada airport.

Located on the coast of the Red Sea, Safaga is a place that more and more divers are beginning to discover. People who come to the port city will find  great diving in a relaxations way.

The following are some of the most popular dive sites in the area.

The Salem Express Wreck
The Salem Express Wreck is one of the most popular dive sites in the region. The wreck is of a ferryboat that was returning from Mecca when it sank. It offers a great place to investigate.

Panorama Reef
Divers who journey to the Panorama Reef will be amazed at the huge coral reef. In fact, it is one of the biggest reefs in Safaga. You can explore the wall that drops several hundred feet. Quite a few marine animals make this region their home, and it is common to see creatures such as barracudas, jackfish, and reef sharks.

Shaab Quis
Divers who have a lot of experience and who are looking for something fun to do will want to go to Shaab Quis. They can examine the soft coral, and if they are there in the morning they might be able to see Napoleon fish and barracudas.

Our land based Dive & Accommodation packages offer flexible travel where you choose the date and location. We have tried to include so much it goes but we have not included the flight in these packages. Choose the destination that suits you best and let us to finalize it by adding the flight.  Of course you can also organize your flight by yourself or you might already have a flight ticket.

 

About the country

Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa and shares borders Libya in the west, Sudan in the south, Israel and the Gaza Strip in the northeast.

Climate
In Egypt the sun shines all year long. Summer is extremely hot (May-September) where it is not uncommon for temperatures to reach above 40 degrees. Only in December will it be cool again, especially in the nights. January is the coldest month with daytime temperatures averaging between 15 and 22 degrees.
The water temperature in the Red Sea along the Egyptian coast rises in summer (July, Aug, Sep, Oct) to about 30 degrees. In winter it can be around 20-22 degrees.

Diving
In Egypt, you can dive the clear waters of the Red Sea. The Red Sea is the northernmost tropical sea on the planet and also the closest to Europe. Coral reefs in the Red Sea always offer a fascinationg and most elaborate scenery. The Red Sea is also famous for its WWII shipwrecks. It is by far one of the world's best diving waters.

Passport and visa
Citizens of the European Union do not need a visa for Egypt. You will need a passport that is valid for at least another six months after returning home.
