BEDOUIN VILLAGE ROOMS

The individually styled Bedouin Village (Standard) Rooms are built into the cliff above the bay and have superb views across the sea to Tiran Island, many with balconies or terraces. Constructed on different levels and accessed by a series of walkways, all have private bathrooms, air-conditioning, mini-fridges, television and telephone. Some rooms can sleep a maximum of 4 guests.

WOODEN BEACH CABINS

The wooden cabins are at sea level with the front row directly on the beach. All have small private bathrooms, air-conditioning and mini-fridges. This is the perfect Sharm holiday beach accommodation for families with small children or for anyone who wants easy access to the beach and waterfront. Towels are provided in the bathroom but not for beach use.  All rooms are twin bedded.

SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

The Umbi Seafood Restaurant is Sharm’s best kept secret! This Seafood Restaurant has an outdoor raised veranda right on the beach with fantastic views of Tiran Island. The rustic ambiance of the restaurant has a true Bedouin feel with its beautiful sandstone cobbled floor, wooden and tile tables and pretty lantern lighting. Additionally, there is an indoor dining room for those who prefer. With a beautiful natural rock wall, ambient lighting and pretty décor it is the perfect setting for a relaxed meal.

Breakfast is served here every day, buffet style. On offer are a wide selection of delicious breads and pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal. There is also a variety of hot food and a choice of freshly cooked eggs.

The lunch and dinner menus always contain an excellent selection of freshly caught fish and seafood. If fish is not your thing then Umbi’s star Chef creates a variety of delicious dishes with an international flare, fit for any fine dining table. The menu is extensive; there are pasta dishes, pizza, burgers, sandwiches and salads – all perfect for a lunch time treat or a moonlit dinner – and also tasty tagines, gorgeous grilled meats and plenty of vegetarian options.

BEACH BAR

The Beach Bar is great during the day for alfresco lunches, coffee, cold drinks, refreshing fruit juices and delicious milkshakes. It is open from 08:00 until late afternoon.

BEDOUIN TENT

the Sharks Bay Bedouin Tent is situated next to the Seafood Restaurant with views overlooking the beach. It serves the best shisha (water pipe) in town alongside Arabic coffees, Bedouin tea and a variety of hot and cold drinks.This is the place where guests gather at end of the evening to relax and enjoy the moonlight over Tiran Island whist listening to the lapping waves. On the nights you can pull yourself away for a change of scenery it is only a short taxi journey to the bright lights of Naama Bay.

Sharm El sheikh

Our land based Dive & Accommodation packages offer flexible travel where you choose the date and location. We have tried to include so much it goes but we have not included the flight in these packages. Choose the destination that suits you best and let us to finalize it by adding the flight.  Of course you can also organize your flight by yourself or you might already have a flight ticket.

 

About the country

Egypt is located in the northeastern corner of Africa and shares borders Libya in the west, Sudan in the south, Israel and the Gaza Strip in the northeast.

Climate
In Egypt the sun shines all year long. Summer is extremely hot (May-September) where it is not uncommon for temperatures to reach above 40 degrees. Only in December will it be cool again, especially in the nights. January is the coldest month with daytime temperatures averaging between 15 and 22 degrees.
The water temperature in the Red Sea along the Egyptian coast rises in summer (July, Aug, Sep, Oct) to about 30 degrees. In winter it can be around 20-22 degrees.

Diving
In Egypt, you can dive the clear waters of the Red Sea. The Red Sea is the northernmost tropical sea on the planet and also the closest to Europe. Coral reefs in the Red Sea always offer a fascinationg and most elaborate scenery. The Red Sea is also famous for its WWII shipwrecks. It is by far one of the world's best diving waters.

Passport and visa
Citizens of the European Union do not need a visa for Egypt. You will need a passport that is valid for at least another six months after returning home.

Local time
Swedish time +1 hour. Egypt changes to summer time / winter time at times other than Sweden
